Where Every Underdog Finds Their Pack

My journey began over a decade ago through rescue work, fostering, and adopting dogs who needed more than just a home. They needed understanding, patience, and structure. What started as a passion quickly became a purpose.

Helping dogs become the best versions of themselves has always been at the heart of what I do. Through working closely with rescues like Almost Home, supporting adopters, and helping create strong foundations for dogs and their families, I saw firsthand how overwhelming the transition can be; especially for new adopters. That’s where the idea for The Underdog Pack was born.

Reactive dogs hold a very special place in my heart. Many of my own dogs came from extreme neglect, abuse, or instability, and helping them learn how to safely exist in a new world became my mission. I’ve spent years shadowing trainers, continuing my education, and learning how to guide dogs through structure, boundaries, and confidence-building; always with compassion at the core.

With over 25 years of experience as a horse trainer, working with animals has always meant understanding behavior, communication, and trust. That foundation naturally carried over into my work with dogs. Animals teach us that progress isn’t rushed; it’s built through consistency, respect, and relationship.

The Underdog Pack was created during a crossroads in my journey within the rescue world. I wanted to build something that truly supports rescues, dogs, and the people who love them. A space where education, structure, and community come together. A place where adopters feel supported, not judged. Where reactive dogs are understood, not labeled.

Through community pack walks, structured training support, and a growing directory of trusted local resources, from trainers and veterinarians to dog-friendly spaces and enrichment tools. The Underdog Pack exists to help families feel confident and capable. It’s about giving dogs the guidance they need and giving humans the tools to show up for them.

This is a judgment-free space built by a dog mom and for dog moms and dog dads, especially those loving the underdogs.
